Job Details
Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting on financial reporting risks within the corporation's banking business in order to ensure the integrity of financial and accounting information and to prevent fraud.
Must be familiar with the risks inherent in the banking industry.
Must be a resource to other personnel in the corporation to maintain and update processes, risks and internal controls.
Assist with the preparation and review of regulatory reporting, including SEC filings and completes projects as assigned by the CFO and/or Controller.
Supports the management and financial reporting functions with the preparation and/or review of financial statements and SEC and regulatory filings.
Qualifications:
Preferably with a minimum of seven (5) years of equivalent experience in accounting position in any banking relted industry (Thrift Bank/ Rural Bank/ Commercial Bank/ Universal Bank and others)
Advanced knowledge of accounting and internal control procedures including knowledge of financial statements, financial reporting and analysis and regulatory reporting for financial institutions.
Ability to work independently as well as in coordination with various departments and levels of management and staff.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office software is required. Proficient reading, writing, grammatical, analytical, mathematical, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
