Finance OfficerPrivate Education Assistance Committee

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts pre-audit of disbursements.
Supervises personnel in functional areas of receipts/collections, disbursements, general ledger maintenance, record-keeping, management reporting; registration and report submission to government agencies.
Coordinates activities of external auditors and responds to auditor inquiries and requests for information.
Coordinates with the different Units regarding queries on financial policies and transactions.
Assists in the annual budget preparation, monitors actual expenditures compared to budget, and analyzes variances.
Performs technical financial, accounting, and auditing functions, and complex account reconciliations.
Coordinates with the Investment Advisory Group (IAG) and external fund managers on investment plans and ensure implementation of IAG recommendations as approved by the Committee.
Ensures maintenance and integrity of the books of accounts and accounting records.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
Certified Public Accountant
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in accounting
Conversant in written and spoken English
