Description
Chronos Agency is looking for an experienced financial manager to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Manager responsibilities will also include financial risk management. Moreover, its responsibilities also should anchor on accounting-related tasks and duties such as, handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings, reconciling accounts payable and receivable, ensures timely bank payments, managing the company's profit and loss statements, audit financial transaction and documents and comply the rules and regulations set for Finance department.
Responsibilities
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (Singapore and Malaysia primarily)
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Additional controller and accountant duties as necessary
Requirements
Work experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper and Controller
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
Knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) & SFRS for SMEs (link) is a plus
Proficient with accounting software like XERO Online
Advanced MS Excel skills and Google Sheet skills including Vlookups, pivot tables and charts
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant courses, advanced course and experience is much preferred.
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
Basic knowledge and experience on Malaysia, Singapore and Philippine taxation
