Able to develop, analyze and monitor operational plans and budgets and recommend corrective actions as required;
Identify, assess, and advise on the information required for management decision-making;
Provide strategic support to Commercial, Credit, Marketing, and Operational Business heads in developing strategy, formulating business plans and budgets, and providing robust forecasts;
Manage the corporate financial reporting process, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements and quarterly reports to the board and other stakeholders;
Undertake the financial analysis of the Business' monthly performance. Update Operations and Department Heads regularly on performance highlighting opportunities and potential risks;
Assist business in analyzing variance reports and variations from stated strategies at business and segment levels;
Enhance financial controls environment through improvement of existing infrastructure and capabilities;
Help to develop and maintain accounting policies;
Lead financial reporting projects, such as the implementation of changes in accounting standards;
Manage relationships with external auditors;
Review publicly disclosed corporate financial information for accuracy and consistency;
Coordinate with various teams and perform complex analyses and prepare reports to summarize financial data;
Monitor and perform studies to interpret financial actions and modify accounting processes and provide technical advice and recommend improvements for same;
Analyze all financial reports and assist in improvement and execution process, review all earning releases, administer investor presentations and conference calls scripts to ensure accuracy;
Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements, file quarterly forms according to current requirements, and document new rules;
Develop and implement internal financial controls for integration of the closing process and financial activities of the company;
Manage all communication with associates and supervisors on issues like goal setting, feedback, performance planning, and appraisals;
Preparation of ad hoc tasks as requested by the finance head and executive management
Qualification:
Ability to work with limited direct supervision, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
Ability to embrace change on multiple levels including technology, systems
Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management;
Critical thinking and focus on process efficiency;
Collaborative nature and foster team spirit;
Experience in coordinating the work of others;
Must be driven to execute continuous process improvement;
Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in areas of expertise;
Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of accounting and a CPA
10 years of professional experience in applying accounting practice along with detailed knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards;
3-5 years of managerial experience in Finance
Well-versed in budgeting/projection
Very experienced in Financial Modelling (e.g. 5/10 year planning)
Familiarity with relevant taxation laws and other local regulatory rules/laws
External audit experience is an advantage (working in a Big 4 is a plus)
Manufacturing or construction experience desired
Adept presentation skills with an ability to target messaging to different audiences
Have an excellent command of both written and spoken English
Experience in Product Costing
Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Strong reconciliation and analysis skills
