The role:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the overall financial risk of the area ensuring financial risks of the area are managed and adequate controls are in place. They will be familiar with consulting projects and be able to prepare monthly reporting to management as necessary. In addition, they will be able to work with all employees, accountants, program management and the executive team, as needed.
Your responsibilities will include -
Prepare monthly area financial reporting for the operations working closely with the GM and operational management team
Produces the Area reforecasts and budgets along with the related variance analysis in line with Divisional and Group requirements.
Oversea project accounting and commercial management. Monitor the performance of key projects and project management strategies along with the Project Finance Team
Oversee the area's Billing, AR and Collection activities escalating issues as needed
Manage the routine area reserves and accrual analysis specifically debtors and WIP.
Support the fixed assets management reviewing fixed assets rec's for the area ensuring assets are added and disposed timely
Preparation of weekly projections for the Division and key Areas.
Review of end of month reconciliations
Champion special projects related to process improvement and reconciliation
Provide support for the internal/external audit of Cardno APAC financial statements
Volunteer and support the local office events in an effort to build a positive teaming environment
About you
Ideally you will possess -
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with Accounting emphasis is required
CPA / CA qualified
7+ years of related accounting experience in a corporate setting
Excellent understanding of accounting practices and principles
Prior experience with BST preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a high degree of proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong analytical skills
Proactive problem-solving skills
Effective time management skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
