Job Summary:
Responsible for the financial health of a company whose tasks include leading the budget planning and monitoring, and supporting the executive management team by providing insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
The Finance Manager generates financial reports, actuals, and projections, including financial analysis, developing financial models and strategies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Safeguarding assets and ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls, and checks across all units
Conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial assessments as well as generating reports
Developing or generating timely monthly financial records and reports for the executive management, including financial models
Facilitating financial planning and ensuring that financial plans are consistent with organizational goals
Tracking the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
Seeking out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
Researching and analyzing financial reports and market trends
Managing commercial banking relationships to facilitate appropriate credit resources under highly competitive terms
Interfacing with outside audit firms, banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), and collection agencies
Ensuring that effective internal controls are in place
Ensuring that compliance with Philippine Accounting Standards and applicable regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance / Accountancy
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Post Graduate Diploma/Master's Degree in Business Administration / Finance, preferred but not required
At least 10 years of solid working experience with progressive responsibility in finance and accounting
Keen on details, and has strong business acumen
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
Able to maintain the highest confidentiality and ethical standards
