Job Description
Position Objectives:
Enable managers to make sound business decisions and meet company objectives.
Analyze financial activities and provide advice and guidance on future financial plans.
Will have oversight for all financial and fiscal aspects of company operations.
Responsible for bookkeeping, accounting, tax and financial reporting of the Philippines entity.
Provide leadership and coordination in the formation of bookkeeping policy and methodology, transparent accountancy and financial reporting.
Job Description:
Perform local accounting (third party vendor) and be able to transition to accounting in international standards (in-house in MrSpeedy).
Perform reporting duties according to international standards.
Experienced in taxation accounting.
Ability to prepare and build primary documents for auditing.
Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance to accounting and tax standards.
Control of the daily accounting records and operations.
Management of local accounting team members and outsourcing company.
Leading set-up of accounting database (select IT accounting system, support implementation of new system).
Control preparation of obligatory accounting and tax reports provided by outsourcing company.
Review of weekly, monthly, annual management/forecast/budget reports in compliance with HQ guidelines and deadlines.
Reconciles any financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing different sources of information.
Maintain clean & clear client and courier balances in the system
Preparation of payroll and government mandated benefits are filed accordingly (SSS, Philhealth, Pag-ibig & Tax)
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
1-2 years of experience in Senior Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager function.
Experience working in tech startup companies or E-commerce is an advantage.
Certified Public Accountant.
Experienced with P&L, cash flow statement, expense reports, daily balances, credit limit, client's debt management.
IFRS experience will be an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to make recommendations and influence outcomes.
Strong negotiation and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data including presentations to senior management.
Have keen judgment, make sound independent decisions, and know when to escalate matters.
Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly new initiatives.
Strong analytical skills, attention to details, and highly organized.
Excellent English communication skills is a must.
Team oriented approach, with flexibility regarding tasks undertaken and the ability to prioritize several conflicting demands to meet exacting deadlines.
Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse environment and flex style as appropriate.
Advanced MS Excel skills with ability and is comfortable to manipulate and draw trends from large amounts of data.
Knowledgeable in utilizing accounting systems like SAP, JD Edwards or similar software (not required but nice to have).
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
