Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in any field.
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
The position is responsible for leading and overseeing the Finance Division to ensure that accounting procedures and processes are properly and ethically applied while utilizing the limited and available resources, to achieve its set financial objectives.
Main duties:
Leadership and Management
i. Actively participate as part of the Leadership and Management Team in the decision-making and governance processes of the organization.
ii. Lead and role-model for team members.
iii. Provide on the job support and coaching as well as training for team members to ensure their continuous development.
iv. Ensure that effective performance management and evaluation processes are undertaken for team members.
v. Lead and manage the core functions of the Division in order to foster quality assurance and ethical standards of all services and be accountable for the effective and efficient usage of resources.
vi. Ensure that internal systems are in place for effective and efficient planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on team performance.
vii. Identify priority budgetary requirements for the Divisions annual submission of performance measures and budgetary provisions and ensure the Division's resources are managed in accordance with prevailing policies.
Technical/operational management and advice
Lead and manage staff in:
To prepare monthly, quarterly and financial year-end financial reports on a timely manner.
To effectively manage customer accounts to ensure compliance with all existing credit policies.
To prepare annual financial statements in accordance with international accounting and auditing standards.
To maintain and develop accounting financial systems and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements.
To assist and handle financial matter and arrangements with commercial Banks.
To carry out regularly accounts financial analysis and interpretations and spot cash counts.
To be knowledgeable and literate in computerized accounting systems including but not limited to Quick Books or other similar accounting systems
To prepare performance budget forecasts for its various divisions and regularly monitor and advice on its implementation
To brief, update and advise the General Manager / CEO on a weekly basis on status of Accounts and other matters
To ensure that recommendations by Auditor General's Office or external auditors through the audit Management Letter are implemented effectively
Prepare and submit Annual Budgets for Management and the Board for approval to meet deadlines.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the General Manager.
Strategic Policy advice and planning
i. Lead and manage the development of strategic policies, plans, new initiatives for service improvement in the Finance
Division
Project management
ii. Manage projects assigned relating to specific functional areas of responsibility
