We are seeking a tech-savvy, process-driven Finance and Accounting Manager with significant COGS and inventory accounting experience to help transform cumbersome tasks into easily managed workflows.
The successful candidate will be an independent problem-solver who enjoys sifting through numbers, creating robust processes, and understands the complexities of an inventory-based business.
Be comfortable using multiple software applications and understand how to leverage technology to get things done efficiently.
Job Description
• Take responsibility for AP, AR, cash receipts, payroll and utilities, cash forecasting, bank reconciliation, fixed assets.
• Financial Statement Preparation in industry as or close to Sales/Distribution/Retail Industry
• Accounting and Finance Metrics including inventory and retail
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status and forecast process
• Perform and oversee annual audits.
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Produce budget according to schedule
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
• Develop and document business processes that integrate automation for increased efficiency
Requirements:
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) are strongly preferred
• Must be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
• 2+ years in a supervisory accounting role (controller, senior accountant, manager, etc)
• In-depth understanding with COGS, inventory accounting, and related best practices
• Direct experience with inventory & order management software
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, Accounting Softwares (Certification preferred), Inventory Management System and databases.
• Knowledgeable in Philippine tax and regulation.
• Extremely comfortable learning, implementing and relying on accounting & finance technology
• Highly analytical with an aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Careful, methodical, and detail-oriented - able to spot out of place numbers, and check one's own work
• Reliable, hard-working, and proactive with a "get it done" mindset
• Problem solver who understands the big picture as well as the details to create solutions to complex problems
• Extremely comfortable working with, learning, and implementing multiple software applications that may be unfamiliar
• Experience planning, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Management experience is a strong plus
