We are looking for Finance Head
Job Description:
The Finance Head is accountable for the Financial and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of the financial and operational strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
Producing financial reports (transparency, integrity and accuracy) and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.
COMPANY LIABILITIES
Understand legal contracts, statutory and tax obligations
Hidden liabilities in the form of contingencies, leases and insurance policies
Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
COMPANY PERFORMANCE
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company and authorize to establish the Accounting policies and procedures for Credit and Collections, purchasing and payment of bills.
Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
Budgeting and Expense Supervision
Responsible for overseeing the budget process, collecting the inputs, and comparing the company's actual performance with estimates (the budget). It is an ugly process that falls within the CFO area of control. Reviews and validates information of checks and the summary of customer collections.
RECORD CONTROL
Responsible for the financial aspects of all company transactions including real estate bids, contracts, and leases.
Provides insurance coverage, as required, ensures the maintenance of appropriate financial records, prepares required financial reports, insures audits are completed in time and statutory book closing occur.
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
At least five (5) years of finance exposure in a managerial capacity, with a minimum of two (2) years people management experience
Required Skill(s): Financial Management, Cash Flow Management, Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Expense Supervision, Record Control, Financial Processes and Procedures
Preferably Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Banking/Financial Services or equivalent.
Knowledgeable of different ERP systems/ Accounting Systems and has strong migration/automation skills
Should have handled the following functions: cashflow management, accounting (GA/AR/AP), budgeting, forecasting, financial and shareholder relationship, investments, record control, etc.
Can adapt to changes and can meet deadlines
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
