Job Purpose
To be responsible for all aspects of financial management for the DSCL operations, with the support of one assistant, a Payroll Accountant, UK based accounts payable, an external accounting firm and working under the guidance of the Cambridge University Press (UK) head office.
Principal Duties
Management of the accounts payable process
Creation of the Trial Balance on an accruals / prepayments basis including month and year end postings to the general ledger
Maintenance and enhancement of an effective control environment including performing key reconciliations
Providing management with value added reporting with suitable commentary
Analysis and Business Support where necessary
Ownership of local finance policies and procedures
Cash management and forecasting ensuring the prompt payment of vendors
Fulfilling local tax and regulatory requirements
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process providing support to the General Manager
Act as Senior Accountant on site, supporting a growing team of 12 finance staff who report to UK managers
Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrate experience of working in a global company and balancing the demands of local management with those of head office
Be prepared to be involved at all levels, from presenting analysis of our operations to the managing director to reconciling control accounts and processing invoices for payment
Certified Public Accountant preferred
Strong knowledge with local taxation, ROHQ operations, FS Audit, BIR and VAT refund
Experience in a SAP environment
