Overview
The Finance Business Systems Administrator is responsible for configuration, maintenance, administration, support and process documentation of various corporate owned finance systems. This position will also design and develop finance reporting using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx and others. This position will report to the VP of Finance Business Systems for Arch Capital Services.
Responsibilities
Perform system configuration and maintenance in Dynamics GP such as Chart of Account changes, opening / closing periods, and communicating with reporting and other systems, etc.
Provide end user application support for Dynamics GP, financial reporting tools and other financial applications
Perform configuration and application monitoring of Concur expense and travel management application including but not limited to integrations, user, cost center and expense type maintenance, etc.
Provide support on other finance systems
Support streamlining and improving processes
Develop and maintain system process documentation, job aids and flows
Participate in scheduled system upgrades including regression / patch testing
Design and develop workflows and datasets in Alteryx
Build reports in a variety of reporting tools such as Power BI
Qualifications
Insurance industry skills a plus
Hands on experience in Alteryx designer is preferred
SQL query knowledge is strongly preferred
Required Skills/Experience
Minimum of 4+ years in finance/accounting systems
Strong general ledger and finance system configuration and maintenance skills
Strong understanding of common industry standard business practices related to accounting (Accounts Payable, General ledger, Financial Reporting, Invoicing, Expenses)
Excellent customer service skills
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to discuss, understand and document requirements from stakeholders
Strong writing and documentation skills
Experience with configuration and maintenance of financial applications required
Ability to create and maintain process documentation
Experience with BI tools required (such as Power BI, Cognos, TM1, etc.)
Education
Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, operations management, or related field (or equivalent in experience)
