We are looking for an experienced, detailed oriented, organize, passionate and aggressive Finance and Controlling Manager who responsible for managing the financial health of an organization in order to promote success and growth while maintaining legal financial practices. Also, responsible in financial planning to determine how to pay off liabilities and grow the business, reviewing financial documents to ensure tax-compliance and collaboration with other departments to achieve monetary goals. He/She will be working with Managing Director to prepare budgets and track profit / loss performance by business unit and on a consolidated basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Finance
Oversee the finance and accounting department;
Managing daily cash balances;
Ensuring that cash flows are adequate to allow business units to operate effectively;
Forecasting cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow;
Maintain banking relationships and negotiating loans and merchant services for business units;
Maintaining our accounts system;
Working with MD to prepare budgets and track profit / loss performance by business unit and on a consolidated basis;
Creating solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial/treasury knowledge;
Liaising with other departments and business units on a range of issues;
Taking responsibility for, and supervising the work of, more junior members of staff;
Preparing financial reports and submissions to the Regional Office;
Arranging financial audits and reviews as required;
Maintaining and transferring money between bank accounts as required;
Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities.
Controlling
Review correctness and ensure timely filing of monthly and quarterly returns on ITR, VAT, EWT and Withholding Tax on Compensation;
Review correctness of charge code used in recording of revenue and cost;
Timely review and analysis of closed jobs to ensure correctness of GP realized;
Conducts job audits to ensure correctness of revenue and costs booked;
Provides timely feedback to OPS and pushing for immediate corrective action on errors/issues noted as a result of job audits;
Provides good quality analysis of GP per department;
Monitors C.O.Re reports and drives its improvement;
Preparing financial reports (i.e, upload file, consolidation package etc) and submissions to the Regional Office.
Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant;
Must have at least 3 years' experience in the freight forwarding / logistics industry;
Knowledgeable in BIR rulings;
Well organized and excellent attention to detail;
Strong analytical skills and attention to high quality;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel;
Competent in the use of Accounting Software;
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
Proactive and able to manage workloads effectively;
Good team player;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance driven environment;
Able to work under pressure;
Results driven and persistent in meeting day to day challenges and goals.
