JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the Finance and Accounting Division ("FAAD"), its ongoing routine financial and accounting tasks, and its development and projects. The FAAD under this responsibility include the GL, Assets Management, Budget and Forecast, and Accounts Payable, in the US and Philippines. This position is responsible for the FAAD personnel, their development and training. The position is responsible for the maintenance and development of the Company's financial information, records and systems, and for the proper internal control procedures over them for the safeguard of the Company's assets. This position is responsible for the maintenance and development of financial analysis and reporting, and for keeping up to date on the implementation of accurate accounting procedures. This position is responsible for compliance with BIR and tax authorities, other government regulatory and administrative agencies, which may include, Local Government, PEZA, BOI, CDC and others.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close.
Responsible for internal and external financial statement preparation and reporting, including oversight on analysis and communication of financial reports to Senior Management on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Responsible for the creation and submission of the external CBPS budget to CUSA.
Responsible for the annual CBPS internal budget and all related schedules and communications with the Operations, Other Departments, and the Senior Management team.
Responsible for overall management of the company's general ledger, including modifying and maintaining account structure, set-up of the general ledger and cost centers. Supervise and monitor the sub ledgers for accuracy and timely reconciliation to the GL.
Leads the development and enhancement of the company's accounting systems.
Monitors the general ledger and ensures that the proper internal controls are in place to safeguard assets and verify the accuracy of financial data.
Responsible for the ongoing development of the FAAD staff, through training and mentorship.
Responsible for ensuring that proper A/P internal controls are in place to safeguard company's assets.
Responsible for the accurate accounting of the Company's Fixed Assets.
Ensures commissions are accurately paid, in accordance with proper plans.
Ensure timely completion of CBPS Philippines external financial audits.
Ensure compliance with BIR and tax authorities and accurate and timely completion of all tax returns, taking full advantage of all tax incentives.
Ensure full compliance with other government regulatory and administrative agencies, including Local Government, PEZA, BOI, CDC and others.
Provide information and reports to various ad hoc financial requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
CPA certification.
10+ years related experience in supervising/managing accounting department including GL close, financial reporting, budgets, audits, and tax matters.
Strong understanding of financial processes and internal control.
Working knowledgeable of TAX, PEZA requirements, and all statutory legislation and regulations.
Strong statutory audit exposure is preferable.
Ability to multitask and oversee multiple accounting and finance areas.
Ability to interact and work with national and regional operations groups and departments, clients, and Sr. management.
Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills and attention to detail.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills.
Successful track record in motivating and managing staff.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with BOT's is a plus.
