The Finance Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, analysis and forecasts for the operational organizations and legal entities within the business. The Finance Analyst will act as the primary support to the operation budget leader in reviewing growth, profitability, and expense efficiency, scenarios so that the operational leader optimizes financial decisions in line with corporate objectives. The Finance Analyst will determine, evaluate, and analyze both revenue and cost drivers to provide insight as to the financial performance being evaluated.
YOU WILL:
Act as the key financial resource for operational organization (region/department/business unit (and legal entity, overseeing all transactions recorded on financial statements are appropriately recorded
Partner with operational leaders and provide analysis, insight, and recommendations/proposals on optimization of financial performance
Participate in the annual budget and forecast process and audits
Ensures that internal controls are applied as well as makes recommendations for process improvements
Ad-hoc reporting and participation in departmental projects
Prepare monthly, quarterly financial reports and variance analysis.
Support the global accounting close process working closely with other functional Finance team members, and lead the local accounting close process for the operational organization
Perform balance sheet and income statement, account analysis, and prepare related working papers.
Proactively communicate with key business players on financial results
Preparation of year end work papers to support annual audits, and tax filings, as well as support local statutory reporting and filing requirements
Overseeing and reviewing legal entity trial balance to ensure all transactions appropriately reflected
Facilitate the identification/development and delivery of best practices
Work closely with finance team to develop best practices
Evaluate processes from a quality perspective
Communicate and present best practices to senior management
Perform end to end local regulatory tax reporting and submissions
Administrative work to manage local tax as required by the local government unit for the company
Champion company core values and other company programs to engage and motivate our employees

ABOUT YOU:
University Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 2 year industry experience in financial analysis or reporting is required
Strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts
Previous experience in the collection industry would be an asset
Experience with ERP systems (Workday is preferred)
Experience in the BPO, multicurrency consolidation and trust accounting would be an asset
Certificates, Licenses, & Registration:
Must possess, or be working towards, one or more of the following certifications: Certified General Accountant (CGA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
