FINANCE & ACCOUNTING HEAD
Full-Time | Cebu-based | ₱30,000-35,000/month
 
Job Summary
 
We are hiring a Finance & Accounting Head to lead our accounting function and provide clear financial insight to the CEO.
 
This role goes beyond bookkeeping. You will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, cash flow visibility, and business performance analysis to support informed management decisions.
 
This position reports directly to the CEO.
 
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and review monthly financial statements:
Income Statement
Balance Sheet
Cash Flow
Explain results in clear, business-friendly language
Identify trends, risks, and red flags early
Business Performance Monitoring
Analyze:
Profitability per branch / product
Cost behavior and expense trends
Gross margin vs sales
Provide recommendations to improve margins and control costs
Cash Flow Management
Monitor weekly cash position
Flag potential cash shortages early
Assist in short-term cash forecasting
Accounting Oversight
Ensure accuracy of:
Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
Inventory costing
Payroll accounting
Review and improve accounting processes and controls
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with BIR and internal policies
Coordinate with external bookkeeper & internal Admin
CEO Decision Support
Provide data-driven insights for:
Pricing
Cost control
Expansion readiness
Challenge assumptions respectfully using numbers
Qualifications
 
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
CPA preferred but not required if experience is strong
At least 5 years accounting experience
Experience in SME, retail, food, or multi-branch operations is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of:
Financial statements
Costing
Cash flow management
Skills & Traits
Analytical and business-minded
Can explain numbers clearly to non-finance leaders
High integrity and attention to detail
Comfortable reporting bad news early
Proactive, not reactive
What This Role Is NOT
Not a pure encoding role
Not AR/AP-only
Not a junior accounting position
Applicants with bookkeeping-only experience will not be considered.
 
Compensation & Growth
