Department Overview
The Capital Markets Accounting Operations Center of Excellence was established to bring the controller activities into one centralized team within the Controllers division that delivers expertise on anything and everything that touches the ledger. This team focuses on reconciliations and controls on fixed income, securities, and derivatives for Traded Products. The group performs reconciliations of books and records across Well Fargo Securities supporting the corporate general ledger, stock record, depositories, custodial positions, and SEC/regulatory reporting.
About the Role
Operational and System Change Management is responsible for change management which includes project planning and execution (upgrades, new functionality and migrations from other systems) and ticket resolution.
Responsibilities
Operational support includes partnering with technology, business stakeholders, and users across all applications used within SOA; input and maintenance of static data and training of system users.
Performs ongoing and ad hoc user testing of Securities systems - SimCorp and Wall Street. This is accomplished using pre-determined test scripts and methodology.
User testing is conducted to ensure systems and products static data changes are valid and operate without issues after implementation.
Performs daily production support for SimCorp and Wall Street. Update and maintain static data within SimCorp and Wall Street on a timely basis.
Responsible for tickets monitoring and maintenance of ALM ticket cycles - ticket creation via email requests; maintenance via mailbox monitoring, troubleshooting, issue analysis, coordinate for corrective actions; closure upon completion.
Reviews QC Tickets for daily and weekly production verification and request approval from the onsite leaders. Send status update as often as required, via SharePoint announcements, responsible for the regular confirmation of system activity cycles.
Generate daily and monthly reports for various SOA teams and conducts daily running of salesforce activities and backdated contracts. Responsible for overnight reports monitoring which includes trouble shooting error scripts, run-date setups for monthly reports, product authorization, quarterly audits, and adhoc tasks.
Performs business analysis to help define solution options and recommendations for resolution of problem tickets and project subject matter, including pros/cons and rationale for recommendations. Participates in information exchange with business, project manager and IT to identify, gather, and document both high-level and detailed business requirements.
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must be college graduate of any bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in production support and change management experience
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity working with complex spreadsheet-based financial models and knowledgeable in business process flows
Demonstrated change management skills, particularly those involving process re-engineering and systems change.
Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment and perform under pressure with a high motivation/energy level and able to meet stringent deadlines with strong sense of urgency and results-oriented
Flexibility to change roles and cover other projects
Flexibility to work in night shifts, or weekends/holidays if deemed necessary by the business
