Department Overview
The Controller division includes the following functional areas: Accounting Business Unit Support, Accounting Operations, Accounting Policy, Enterprise Controls & Oversight, Enterprise Financial Reporting, Supply Chain Management, and Corporate Tax. The WFS Reconciliation - Capital Markets COE is under the Controller division's sub-group - Accounting Operations.
The FX Accountant internally known as the Financial Reporting Analysis Analyst 2 is responsible for ensuring all major financial accounting procedures and controls are functioning at the highest level for the integrity and reliability of financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Daily review of unmatched transactions in Intellimatch system and investigation and population of appropriate notes to primary recon owners.
Ensure the GL accounts on assigned Branches are zero out and no outstanding transactions issue and noted any write-offs and findings.
Retrieve all the Outstanding Report from different server (IM02, IM03,IM04,IM05) and associated with the Company/Category/Balance Pool and relay to appropriate parties as per required format.
Identify and investigate outstanding transactions related to Opics FX Deal and Opics Genled. and provide the Currency indicator and amount and ensure the findings are noted on the "Ops Control Descr".
Retrieve source data from Back Office reporting and other tasks such as: Sorting, formatting & coding on weekly basis. The Source Data is used for Quarterly Regulatory Reporting purposes and 1099 B Comparison.
Producing ad hoc queries and reports to assist in business analysis and project execution.
Participating in status meetings/calls, project planning and verbal and written updates.
Market Skills and Certifications
Candidate must be a graduate of 4 year degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Economics
2-3+ years of experience in back-office accounting preferably related to FX Operations.
Account reconciliation experience with Intellimatch. Experience in Opics, Midas, CLS, Oracle IrisWeb/Essbase, Vena, Calypso and other data management software experience is a plus.
In-depth background in Trade Reconciliation with demonstrated knowledge of US Regulatory Reporting and general industry practices.
Must have in-depth background in compiling and analyzing financial information in preparing entries to accounts, such as general ledgers and document business transactions.
