Qualifications:
✔️ IT skills is a must, minimum understanding on Computer network infrastructure and administration.
✔️ Experience in Network, Server, and Wireless communications
✔️ Preferably with experience in the installation of Satcom systems, VSAT and IT Network equipment
✔️ Demonstrated technical knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills
✔️ Experience working in a vessel is a PLUS
✔️ Physically fit to work in offshore / Maritime environment.
✔️ Amenable to work at home, onsite, and travel if needed
Job description:
• Responsible for the activities related to installation, service, and maintenance of all Connectivity/Satcom Systems, IT Network equipment, and other value-added services on Projects executed globally.
• Perform remote assisted installations, field support on a shift work basis when required.
• Direct technical support to local partner engineers or end-users during installation, service, and maintenance of the products offered within the Maritime portfolio.
• Evaluation of local partner engineers' quality of work, execution of their training and certification
• Creation and archiving detailed documentation from installations, services, and maintenance of all connectivity/IT solutions attended
• Responsibility for completion of the installation with successful operation on time with respect to agreed installation plan
• Cooperate with other departments to solve technical and operational problems
• Implementation of pilot projects or new technologies and preparation of appropriate and detailed documentation related to these projects.
