Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Transport Coordinator will oversee the delivery, movements of live hog's farm to farm internal transfer or farm to selling station transfer. Ensure that delivery schedules are met and send fulfillment update.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the time delivery or movements of live hogs internal or external
Maintain delivery schedules and track deliveries to ensure plans are met.
Coordinators update and provide tracking information to customers: Fam Ops, Transport Sup or to Team members or other company approved personnel that are involved in the movement or plan
Ensure biosecurity standards are met and being followed by truck drivers and other personnel involved in live hogs movement
Monitor and report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues and especially bio security concern
Coordinators may also analyze delivery costs and recommend more cost effective methods of transportation or planning.
Serve as backup to Transport Supervisor or Specialist to assign drivers to routes, handle customer and farm complaints, and investigate delivery or movement issues. These may include damaged products: dead on arrival, injury to live hogs and other damage incur during movement or handling
Update files, reports assigned by direct supervisor that are critical to performance of transportation
Consolidate, compile and safekeep documentation during transactions. Ensure correct and integrity of information indicated or filled up by users
Validate truck trip count to billing charged before endorsing to Sup for filing or approval
Others assigned by Supervisor or direct team lead
Qualifications
College Graduate or Level
