Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where judgment is required to identify a problem. Must show ability to recognize problems that are outside of normal operating conditions. Work is performed independently, but under direction of a Principal technician and/or supervisor. Requires a working knowledge of shop math, and the ability to read and write. Must be able to utilize hand and power tools as well as measuring devices. Requires the use of computer skills for data entry and office work. Understands and follow all safety requirements relating to job tasks. Some areas may require training in hazardous materials handling and/or respirator use.
General troubleshooting skills. Understands fundamentals of problem solving. Basic understanding of facility systems. Engage in cross training activities with other facility technicians. Ability to identify root causes and resolve through short and long-term improvement plans.
Follows all planned work activities, follows up on assigned tasks. Takes ownership for area. Completes all assigned PM's, and follows all applicable specifications. Understands how to use facility management system, establish alarm limits and set-up a data trend.
Follows work direction. Works well with others in team environment. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Attendance meets company standards.
Willing to work other shifts or be on call for coverage when requested or needed.
