MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily inspect equipment operations of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building life support systems, and other building equipment.
Document finding on daily rounds log and shift technicians log
Respond to client's emergency calls and report malfunctions of utility systems, i.e., electrical, mechanical, elevator systems, HVAC systems, and other building services
Recommend temporary solutions to equipment and building problems in order to sustain current building operations
Determine need to call in and coordinate the work of other technicians during emergencies
Coordinate work with outside contractors as to building access, adherence to safety rules, regulations and precautions
Submit periodic reports to the Facilities Manager pertaining to office operation and in-house equipment maintenance
Monitor client's construction/fit - out process and reports non-compliance to the Building regulations
Recommend tools, instruments, equipment and materials necessary for building operations
Prepare technicians' work schedule
Safe keep all building as-built plans, layouts and diagrams including tenant fit-out plans
Assist the Facilities Manager on the energy optimization program of the office space.
Perform other tasks as may be required.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Ideal Experience
Experience in any or all of the following: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil
Licensed Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
At least 2-4 years' experience in maintenance and improvement works, preferably in a property / facilities management setting
Handling projects and improvement works
Experienced in establishing SOW and BOQ
Handling maintenance records, monitoring sheets and checklist
Able to monitor the utilities consumption/usage
Good in problem solving and technical thinking
Handling multi-skilled technician and able to organize personnel deployment
Knowledge in VRF System, ERV system, FDAS, Fire Protection System and Air-conditioning System
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to adapt in a fast-paced working environment and versatile in meeting client changing needs and requirements
Knowledge of HVAC, Fire Protection System, Electrical system and BMS system. Has experience in CRAC, UPS, Chiller plant or Critical Equipment/Data Centre operations is preferable
Thorough knowledge of BMS System
Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements
PC literate and able to manage daily activities using various systems, such as BMS, and other computerized control/monitoring system
6 working days per week, shift pattern 24/7 coverage required
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of people

Do you have superior technical know-how when it comes to maintaining a facility?
In this role, you'll be our go-to guy when it comes to managing our site's daily operations and technical issues, providing effective solutions whenever difficulties arise. Are you well-versed in workplace safety? As we'll rely on you to develop and carry out an elaborate preventative program for managing sites.
You'll also make sure that all essential site activities-including the maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and equipment-are performed in a safe and efficient manner; complying with policies and requirements set out by the government, our client and our own management teams. Your expertise in critical environment procedures may also help.

Working as part of a larger team, you will be involved in ensuring all key performance indicators are met, as set out in the management contract
Championing Improvement
Do you get excited by improvement works? As part of a larger team, you will be involved in launching various improvement and savings programmes that will benefit both us and our clients. For example, you will be involved in the implementation of energy management programmes to help cut utilities costs and eliminate wastages.
This will involve working closely with our vendors, coordinating with them on a variety of projects-from beginning to end. You'll see to it that our vendors are managed accordingly, and that technical and safety audits and repairs are in sync with the projects' timeline.
Do you like sharing ideas to improve the work process? As our facilities engineer, you'll contribute to the creation of engineering service delivery standards. You'll also help in the planning, implementation and review of site-specific processes and protocols.
Teamwork should also be one of your strongest points, as you'll work with a team to ensure that all performance targets set out in the contract are being met. To do this, you'll develop tools that help measure the technical team's performance on a quarterly or annual basis.
