Job Description
Production Planning and Control: Develop and execute production plans to meet customer orders and production targets. Allocate resources effectively, optimize workflow, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Quality Management: Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and standards. Implement quality improvement initiatives, conduct inspections, and address any deviations or non-conformities.
Health and Safety: Promote a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct regular safety inspections, provide training, and ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations.
Equipment and Maintenance Management: Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure the availability and proper functioning of machinery, tools, and equipment. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate the production team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promote teamwork, and address any performance or disciplinary issues that may arise.
Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency. reduce waste. and streamline processes. Implement lean manufacturing principles and encourage employee participation in process improvement projects.
Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitor production costs, track expenses, and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards and meeting production targets.
Communication and Coordination: Foster effective communication and coordination between different departments, such as engineering, procurement, and shipping. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer requirements are met and address any issues or changes in production schedules.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to production, safety, and quality assurance.
Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the customer service team to understand customer needs and expectations. Ensure on-time delivery of products, address customer concerns or complaints promptly, and strive to exceed customer satisfaction.
