JOB DESCRIPTION
In charge of quality and quantity control for fabricated structural steel and recommend the best materials to be used in fabrication for varied purposes. Helps in the technical and financial planning and budgetary estimate for every project. Provides estimates of the materials and the expenses associated with a project. Also plans and implements fabrication schedule while ensuring that the schedule provides enough time to complete the project.
Help in the research and development of fabricated structural steel and suggest measures to develop cost efficient and aesthetically pleasing designs. Supports the fabrication staff in every aspect, so that the final product is identical to the design blueprints.
Responsible for providing material specifications and test the quality of material before the fabrication starts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In Charge of overall Fabrication Area activities;
Perform Quality Testing and Control;
Ensure that the Fabricated Structural Steel are within quality standards and according to Actual Drawings and Designs;
In charge of testing materials, follows a certain set of tests to identify the strength and durability of the steel to be used in fabrication project;
Supervise and monitor the activities of the fabrication staff and provide technical support;
Keep a track of project report and investigate into matters that may cause a delay in the project;
Identify unresolved issues to the project in-charge and assists in the investigation to identify possible solutions;
Diagnosing and resolving design and functional issues arising in the course of a project; and
Perform other tasks as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related stream of engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
Strong knowledge of engineering design concepts and practices especially in structural steel members.
Ability to work under strict deadlines without letting the shortage of time affect the quality of work
Excellent teamwork skills and client oriented
Hard-working and Self Motivated
Not more than 35 years old.
