KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Partnership Development
Identify, contact, and establish relationships with local, regional, and national companies to secure internship opportunities.
Negotiate agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with partner organizations to formalize internship programs.
Maintain a database of industry partners and track partnership activities.
2. Program Coordination
Collaborate with academic departments to align internship opportunities with curriculum requirements and learning outcomes.
Promote internship opportunities to students through workshops, career fairs, and campus events.
Assist students in identifying suitable internships based on their academic and career goals.
3. Industry Partner Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for industry partners, addressing inquiries and providing support throughout the internship process.
Conduct site visits or virtual meetings with industry partners to ensure internship quality and compliance with institutional standards.
Organize industry partner information sessions and networking events to connect students with industry professionals.
4. Student Support
Conduct seminars/trainings for students on resume preparation, interview skills, and professional etiquette to prepare them for internships.
Monitor student progress during internships, ensuring academic and professional expectations are met.
Collect feedback from students and industry partners to evaluate internship experiences and make improvements.
5. Administrative Duties
• Maintain records of internship placements, agreements, and evaluations in compliance with institutional policies.
• Prepare reports on internship program outcomes, including placement rates and student feedback.
6. Academic and Faculty Responsibilities
Serve as a faculty member for the internship course, delivering instructional content and facilitating academic components of the program.
Evaluate student performance and assign final grades based on internship deliverables, reflections, and other academic requirements.
Fulfill additional teaching responsibilities, such as advising students, maintaining office hours, and participating in faculty meetings or committees, as required by the institution.
7. Outreach and Marketing
Engage in efforts to promote the internship program to students and prospective industry partners.
Represent the institution at industry events, job fairs, and professional associations to build the internship network.
