The Role
As an External Communications Manager, you will responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to strengthen external communications and public relations and gain positive public awareness on the Bank's products and services.
How you'll contribute
Develops and implements strategic communications plans to support Bank goals/initiatives, helping to increase brand awareness and build reputation
Leads the strategy and delivery of PR, media relations and all communications with external stakeholders and the public
Develops all external communication plans, issues briefs and other communication materials, as needed.
Heads development of Annual and Sustainability Report and other external communications plans from concept to delivery
Partners with teams throughout the Bank, including Branch Banking Group, Fraud, Crisis Management Committees, and other internal teams to develop effective and efficient communications, including communications that manage and protect the Bank's external brand, as well as drive positive reputation (via SOV metrics)
Manages a team of Communications officers to deliver on Key Results Areas individually and for the External Comms department
Creates messages that directly responds to changing situations to ensure quick response and completeness of messaging to maintain brand reputation
Generates a range of communication solutions and courses of action with benefits, costs, and risks associated with the recommendation
Strengthens media relations and public affairs network to help seed public awareness on Bank's messages
Provides timely, complete, effective and empathetic communication solutions on issues that affect the employees and clients of the Bank to maintain Bank's positive reputation and impact
Develops communication collateral to ensure that ideas and messages are conveyed clearly and effectively to the target audience
Analyzes results of communication projects (external and internal) to determine effectiveness and uses results/gathered data to guide future activities
What we're looking for
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Advertising/Media, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications, Journalism
Knowledge of professional writing and editing techniques, basic business, finance and economics terminology
Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
Able to communicate effectively with senior management, internal stakeholders, external partners and clients
