The Platform Data Owner is a subject matter expert who is accountable for data ownership of the BI Platform. He has unique knowledge of the intricacies of web applications, data entry/data sources, reporting systems, data processes, and the security Supports creating the overall roadmap and shapes demand for BI Platform data consumption and protection Provide data ownership and oversight of the BI Data Platform instances, including the DW, Data Security, and any related data escalations Review the data security design and configurations to ensure a seamless application integration that aligns with the platform data security strategy Demonstrate the ability to work independently with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming. Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations snd security controls. Demonstrate experience with data processing and reporting concepts and tools such as Kibana, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, and other reporting tools Demonstrate experience with data warehouse SQL Server back-end ETL design, development, and implementation (DDI), including dynamic SQL scripting, SSIS package development, C# Coding, Power Shell/Unix Development, and batch command processing. Demonstrate experience with SQL Server database administration, including backup/restore, partitioning, replication, performance tuning, job scheduling, and setting up security configurations. Demonstrate various data warehousing concepts and implementation using Inmon or Kimball approach Demonstrate technical skills involving SQL Server, Web applications, and IIS service security components. Possess Agile knowledge and concept Possess windows networking and security knowledge, including domain and server configurations. Possess detailed knowledge of MS Office programs in a windows network environment. Be able to synthe and process complex technical information and present them to facilitate communication to non-technical users utilizing documents and diagrams. Demonstrate data warehouse, operational/business intelligence data lakes/hubs, database systems, and data warehouse architecture implementation Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems, audit, and security controls. Educate staff members through training and individual support. Cultivate, maintain, and enhance database systems based on business requirements using approved technologies and coding standards Lead and/or assist with the creation of technical documentation, design synopsis, functional requirements, and operating procedures supporting the build-out of client solutions on the database platform Provide peer review of code and planned database development activities for co-workers Qualifications: 5+ years in Windows security, networking configuration, and application deployment 10+ years experience in administering SQL Server data warehouse databases 5+ years in detailed data analysis and reporting of various business data 5+ years experience in handling web and application security issues 5+ years experience in web application development 5+ years experience in SQL server ETL development, including SSIS packages, Analysis Server, custom scripting, and reporting services Must be proficient at using Windows Security, Application Development, SQL Server, and SQL Data Tools/Business Intelligence to process raw data Experienced in developing C#/Power Shell/Batch command development, data warehouse objects using SQL Server (including stored procedures, SSIS packages, jobs, and custom ETL components).
