Responsibilities:
Examine structural drawings to understand the overall design and layout of the building.
Analyze mechanical and electrical drawings to identify systems and components that impact construction costs.
Evaluate flooring plans to determine the types of flooring materials and quantities required.
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for each aspect of the project based on the take-offs.
Maintain detailed records of the take-offs and cost estimates for future reference.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to clarify any ambiguities in the drawings.
Provide regular updates to the project team on cost estimates and any changes that may impact the overall budget.
Requirements
2 years of experience as an Estimator
Strong proficiency in using Revit and AutoCAD
Knowledge of general construction processes and principles and experience with the use of softwares.
In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
Knowledgeable of Sketch Up and BlueBeam is highly preferred
