ESL PROOFREADER
(Full-time; Office-based)
 
Number of vacancies: 3
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertakes minor revisions of the editors’ essays
Proofreads some of students’ essays
Issues rechecks to editors for non-compliance of editing guidelines
Send essays back to students after proofreading with a fixed quota
Assigns scores to edited essays of editors
Reports failure cases to the Team Leader
Undertakes coaching of editors based on editors output when assigned by the team leader
Conducts training of editors and new-hires when assigned
Evaluates trainee performance
Submits training reports
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Journalism, Education/Teaching/Training, Linguistics/Languages, Studies/Administration/Management, Mass Communication or equivalent.
Required skill(s): Excellent computer skills, Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well in team setting, effective coaching skills, detail-oriented and possess multitasking skills.
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Mandaluyong City.
Work Schedule: 9am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
