About the role
The Equipment Engineer for Mold/TnF Sustaining will handle qualification of new machines for midend and will be the technical support of new work flows and revision to documents (i.e. Plating FMEA, Control Plan, Work I).
What you will do
Primary lead in resolution of Trim & Form related customer complaints interfacing with cross functional teams
Drive improvements projects related to mid end Process for cost, quality and productivity
Primary lead in investigation of escalated line issues, OQA hits and internal OCAP
Owner of equipment utilization, MTBI Improvement plan and prevents equipment and parts breakdown to meet goals.
Drive standardization across site and also participate in benchmarking and standardization between Assembly sites
Point person for midend Equipment during Customer Audits and internal Line Audits
Responsible for periodic calibration of equipment for mid end
On certain cases, can be responsible for supervising mid end equipment technicians
Primary responsible in keeping critical machine controls for mid end.
Collaborates with Central Equipment and Process Engineers for PO spec for mid end equipment and ensure best equipment design are reflected on the PO specs
Ensures no Midend Process related customer complaint
Supports closure of audit findings related to mid end Process
Promotes and ensures zero safety incidence at mid end Process area.
Support production output numbers through high equipment availability time and within minimum allowed down times
Conducts trainings and fan outs of best practices to technicians
Develops training program and skills development technicians
Supports machine set up and installation in support of Ramp or Obsolescence
Creates Work Instruction for new machines together with Process and Central Engineering
Could conduct buy-off of new equipment at Supplier side
Perform or support other mid end Process related work that may be assigned.
What you will need
Graduate of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
With at least 5 years of work experience in Equipment
Proficient in Mold, Trim and Form and other mid end equipment and process
Advance knowledge in Trim and Form and Mold Toolings and can perform mechanical modeling of parts and mechanical system
Proficient in using statistical tools (Minitab, Statistics, etc.)
Knowledgeable in basic electrical system
Team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with cross-functional teams
Effective communicator between various levels of the organization
Good communication and reporting skills
Deep mathematical, applied physics and mechanics of machine fundamentals
Project management skills
People handling skills
Leadership skills
