Description
Job Functions:
• Health & Safety:
o Formulates and develops safety and health program of the company based on existing laws and
regulations.
o Cascades safety policies and procedures as issued by various government regulatory bodies and
ensure that the company complies with said policies.
o Coordinates safety training programs to promote efficiency in safe practices and safety
awareness.
o Establishes, promotes, and ensures a safe and hazard-free environment by monitoring the
company's safety and health programs to ensure compliance.
o Recommends measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards in
compliance with legislative requirements.
o Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts and report
problems to the management.
o Oversees and directs the entire process of accident investigation / analysis.
o Initiates review of existing safety policies and updates them where necessary.
• Regulatory:
o Attends and participates in consultation meetings with the regulatory bodies on new regulations
and the amendment of existing policies / guidelines concerning chemicals.
o Oversee the applications and submissions of necessary licenses and permits for
regulated/controlled products.
o Approves and signs permits/clearances applications and requests and ensures its timely
submission.
• Quality System:
o Acts as the Quality Representative in the company's Quality and Management Systems.
o Coordinates the activities required to meet quality standards, environmental standards and food
safety standards by setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
o Liaise with managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the IM system is
functioning properly.
o Leads and promotes regular internal quality audits to ensure compliance in all approved
standards.
• Responsible Care:
o Acts as the Responsible Care Coordinator and maintains programs and policies in compliance
with RC guiding principles.
Job Requirements:
• Must be a College graduate of a business or technical course or other equivalent relevant training.
• Completion of required OSH trainings from institutions accredited by the DOLE.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in product regulations and other compliance obligations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective supervisory skills
• Action-oriented with ability to deliver timely and positive results.
• Works effectively with a team.
• Must be service oriented.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and implement projects independently and effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to solve problems and corrective / improvement actions for implementation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
