Basic Job Requirements . Senior-level experience and scientific/technical educational background . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable environmental field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience . NRC Licensing experience and/or NRC Environmental Report experience . Experience preparing environmental documents that address a range of environmental subject areas: o Land use o Ecology and biology o Meteorology and air resources o Geology, hydrology, hydrogeology o Historic & Cultural resources o Demography and socioeconomic factors o Environmental justice o Risk analysis and modeling o Data evaluation and conclusions o Alternatives analysis o Cumulative impacts assessment o Environmental reporting o Waste management, including nuclear and nonnuclear waste products o Human and environmental health . National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and environmental impact statement experience and familiarity with US environmental laws and regulations . Excellent writing skills for complex environmental report preparation . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders Preferred Qualifications . Ability to work independent and on teams to successfully complete assignments on schedule including research, analysis, data gathering, evaluation and presentation, and complex writing . Ability to effectively work remotely to deliver on individual assignments while staying actively engaged with distributed team members . Ability to effectively manage and deliver on multiple concurrent tasks, such as researching and preparing multiple ER sections at differing stages of development as information becomes available . Attention to detail to ensure data and information traceability within the ER . Demonstrate high level of interpretive and critical thinking and mature judgment . Advanced computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the advanced use of spreadsheets, electronic presentations, databases, as well as remote connectivity software . Effective presentation skills including public speaking . Ability to support occasional travel if needed .
