Job Description
The Enterprise Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for the design, implementation and advanced technical support of Private and Public Cloud environments. The incumbent will collaborate closely with our external partners, as well as internal Infrastructure, Applications, Security and Network teams to establish a scalable and dynamic Hybrid Cloud landscape focused on the agile delivery of Business solutions. This role will be responsible for integrating both On-Prem and Cloud-native solutions and services, as well as providing support for Cloud migration, operations and maintenance for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS workloads.
Develop, document and maintain Cloud Strategy and Governance process
Develop, document and maintain Cloud Standards and Policies
Lead contract efforts with Managed Service Providers and support providers
Drive the development of Business requirements into effective Cloud solutions and support each with Business case
Create detailed Cloud infrastructure and applications technical design ensuring alignment to the IT Solutions Architecture, IT Roadmap and applicable Standards
Effectively execute proof of concept exercises and drive solutioning efforts
Work with Business and Commercial teams to ensure Cloud solutions meet business requirements and can be implemented in standard operating model
Provide Cloud cost management/optimization, consumption and quota management and capacity forecasting and tracking services
Work with Service Desk and vendors in the effective support of Cloud Operations
Provide Project Management services
Configure and provide advanced technical support for existing Cloud workloads
Manage Vendors and Service Delivery across Private and Public Cloud environments supporting On-Prem as well as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS workloads
Manage subscriptions, create and manage policies for compliance
Implement platform protection, including network security, host security, container security and resource management security
Work with Application Stakeholders and Security team to perform Security managagement including security operations, security policies and security alerts
Work with Application and Development teams to ensure DevOps Security objectives are met
Work with Security team to ensure data and applications are secured, including configuring encryption, SSL/TLS certs, permissions to secrets, certificates and key rotation
Implement and manage Identities and Access using AD, Azure Active Directory, B2C and Single Sign-on functions
Optimize use of Storage Accounts, Databases, Templating, Encryption and Upgrades
Coordinate and perform maintenance activities including Vulnerability Management and Patching
Optimize Data Replication services ensuring Business expectations for Data Protection and Availability SLAs are met
Coordinate Business Impact Analysis, Develop and Perform Business Continuity planning and excercises
Develop and Report key Service Levels for Cloud and Business services tracking availability, performance and security metrics
Implement and manage network deployment tasks such as setting NSGs, virtual networks, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPNs and Netbond
Continually seek new automation and provisioning technologies and the use of services to achieve higher levels of optimization and consistency
Ideal Candidate
At least 5 years experience of Enterprise level IT Infrastructure Design Implementation and Operational Management
At least 4 years experience of Cloud Solution Architecture Design
Deep, hands on subject matter expertise with Public Cloud vendor such as Azure
Hands on experience with Resource Management templates and scripting tools, including PowerShell Azure CLI, JavaScript or similar languages
Expertise with Virtual Networking, Network Security Groups, Traffic and Network Monitor, Load Balancers and User Defined Routing
Expertise with Cloud based Identity providers such as Azure AD, B2C
Expertise using Cloud migration tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery and Zerto
Expertise using Cloud native Data Protection and High Availability services such as Azure Site Recovery, GRS Storage, and SQL AlwaysOn
Expertise with Windows and RHEL Linux System Administration
Experience configuring, managing and securing DevOps
Strong written and oral communication abilities

Demonstrated ability to work within a cross functional team environment to deliver project tasks and assignments on time and on budget
Track record of identifying opportunities for improvements and sponsoring projects to management
Demonstrated ability to manage significant project tasks according to standard Project methodology
