Job description:
Will provide formal phonics instruction to emerging readers (preschool- age learners) using a phonics basal reader system
Teach creative writing (unique story creation) in different formats and genres to age 5-16 in miniature class sizes
Introduce phonemic awareness to students, and perform guided reading sessions
Administer formative tests, and provide lively post- reading comprehension activities
Adjust lessons, tools and learning activities to suit learning styles of students, abilities and needs
Provide learning experiences to students to aid comprehension
Maintain transparent communication with parents and advise on individualized learning plan
Qualifications:
Preferably a graduate of International Studies, Communication, Literature or other similar courses
Fluent in spoken and written English. Writing conventions count!
Willing to be trained
Some tutorial or classroom teaching experience with children and or young teens preferred but not required
Creative, innovative, loves to make things, and able to work independently
Professional, proactive, energetic, willing to work in an exciting school environment with a dynamic team
