We are currently looking for Engineering Technicians. This position assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function, or project. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties.
Experience in the following industries is preferred:
LNG (Liquefaction, Regasification and Storage)
Refinery (Crude/Vacuum Distillation, Hydrotreating)
Offshore/Upstream (FPSO, Gas Processing)
Petrochemicals (Polyethylene, Polypropylene)
Utilities and Offsites (Steam, Condensate, Nitrogen, Air, Cooling Water, Demin Water, Fuel Gas, Tankage)
Advanced Technologies: Semiconductor Industry
Typical job duties and responsibilities:
Perform engineering assignments to including but not limited to space planning, mobilizations, action items, producing datasheets and drafting engineering specifications and standards
Track status on engineering progress
Generate and process forms for the distribution of electronic engineering documents
Establish and apply documentation standards for Flow Diagram Change Notices (FDCN) workflow procedures
Develop logs to track project deviations
Assist with progress reporting via EZTrac and preparation of weekly and monthly status reports
Maintain engineering project files in accordance with the Project File Index and Retention Schedule
Support meeting coordination for model reviews and vendor presentations
Track and monitor material key quantities
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies
Provide routine administrative and technical support for the Process team's activities on a project such as document tracking, maintenance of electronic and hardcopy files, issue documents, staff communications, and create and edit various documents.
Maintain drawing log
Support process standards and procedures
Assist process in the preparation of the following deliverables and activities:
Simulation and Heat and Material Balance (HMB)
PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams)
P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
Hydraulics and line sizing
Line list
Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
A combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with an EPC company in a process technician role
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam
Familiarity in Autocad, Smartplant P&ID and Instrumentation
