Role/Department Description:
Responsibilities:
40% Coordinate project staffing and execution between local teams and remote product & engineering peers, leads and stakeholders. Ensures that engineering development for the groups under management are consistently aligned to business priorities and that staffing is optimized accordingly.
40% Trains, mentors and managers engineering team leads under management to perform highly in their roles Ensure we continue to build the scale necessary for a growing organization to meet the growth needs to together and build capable team leaders able to become the senior leaders of tomorrow.
10% Hire & train new personnel to meet needs of the teams under management. Collaborate with local and remote leaders on staffing needs. Ensure we meet hiring plan objectives and that we hire and train the right personnel to perform the work needed.
10% Problem solve & work on higher-level design (operational or architectural) to ensure effectiveness of the products under management Ensure organization is operating as efficiently as possible.
Required Skills:
Software development fundamentals Foundation for evaluating good design and development practices
Written and oral communication Interact with peer, team member, and remote stakeholders/managers effectively
Analytical problem solving Decompose complex problems and operational events
Patience and ability to teach/mentor others Train and mentor new hires, new ATL's
Experience developing and deploying production software To effectively mentor others on the process for developing and ensuring high quality solutions
Strong organizational and context switching ability Effectively handle multiple projects, with different agendas and projects moving forward simultaneously
Team building and ability to motivate others Encourage a positive, constructive, and collaborative work environment and retain top talent
