Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering teams to deliver current demands while modernizing our approach and delivering with a focus on standardization, simplicity with additional plus some Work closely with Product Lead to understand business needs across product portfolio, spar with the Architect to refine solution designs and spar with the Scrum Master to enable agile on an ad hoc basis
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees followed by continuous development of capabilities
Develop and nurture technical talent
Collaborate with Product Owner on initiatives, priorities, and resource capacity to achieve business objectives
Promote and enforce a safe and and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies and procedures, which includes a harassment-free environment with strong focus on diversity, inclusion, engaged employees and; living the company values
Drive an ownership mentality in a DEVSECOPS way of working, best practices and Maersk strategic direction
Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the EDI Engineering organization, evolving and reengineering processes
Coordinate and direct implementation projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing technical activities against, at times aggressive, deadlines as defined by our customers
Manage and own capabilities and run integration solutions as products
Monitor progress against delivery schedules and budgets; forecast allocation of resources
Plans and formulates EDI engineering global initiatives and builds teams for success
Drive permanent corrective action plans to resolve any issues related to quality, production systems, infrastructure, and trading partner solutions
Coordinate all EDI engineering changes and approvals to meet customer deadlines
Liaise with vendors for resources and capabilities
Drive continuous improvement and quality to maintain profitability and competitiveness
Accountable for detailed analysis & sizing of requirements for integration programs
Full end to end management of solutions with a focus on customer experience
Risk, issue and dependency management across the platform
Manage capabilities and service levels in accordance with agreed SLAs
Proving clear and concise instructions to engineering teams across the B2B space.
Who we are looking for
10+ years of experience in software development end experience with agile and DevOps in a complex, cross application, multi-functional environment
5+ years of experience as senior engineer having built solutions in an agile/DevOps, message driven solutions and 3+ years of team lead/ team management in that space.
7-10+ years of experience developing and implementing Java JEE and JSE applications.
Industry experience preferred
EDI & Integrations experience preferred or working knowledge of the internal Maersk applications and business systems.
Involvement in maintaining solution standards, partner migrations, and new application integration preferred
Technical skills
In depth understanding of iterative software development and various methodologies such as DEVSECOPS, agile, Kanban, hybrid models, CI/CD
EDI standards familiarity - ANSI X12 & EDIFACT - XML schemas, positional flat-file and proprietary formats
MFT protocols & communication experience, SFTP, AS2, SMTP, HTTPS, FTP - client & server
Certificate management, encryption
Java JEE and JSE, JSON, SQL familiarity, Oracle database
API, Kafka, Webservices SOAP / REST familiarity
EDI data integration and transformation tools - one or more of the following:SEEBURGER, Oracle B2B, Application Integrator, /AMPS, OpenText, Sterling
Cloud technologies and solutions - preferably Azure
Atlassian suite - Confluence & Jira or similar
Tactical & Strategic planning with cost/benefit estimation
