As an API software engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, testing, maintaining the key APIs that power our online and mobile banking platforms. You and your team will coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate that information into technical specifications. You will ensure adherence to established technology standards by performing code and security reviews, automated unit and integration testing, and implementing devops best practices. You will be expected to continuously hone your skills and stay abreast of new technologies and practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Proficiency in Enterprise JAVA, JAVA 8+ is preferred but not required
Experience in design and implementation of RESTful API services, preferably with Spring Boot
Experience working with SQL and JPA
Strong background in unit and integration testing
Experience using continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools
Demonstrable ability to break down complex problems and solve them systematically
Solid communication skills, able to articulate your thoughts to any audience
Although not required, experience in the following will be highly valued:
Cloud technologies, preferably AWS or GCP
Containerization technologies such as Docker
