Job Description: Altium Program Specialist Altium Software and application support for Test Systems Development engineering groups (TSG) tools/applications used by the TSG group our Thailand, US, Europe, and Philippines locations. The candidate will work closely with TMS Development team and Altium users worldwide. The candidate will work with the Altium users to develop and maintain scripts that have already been created and work with the Altium SDK in Visual Studio to develop Altium Extensions. The candidate will also be involved with evaluating new versions of Altium Designer for release to the users. The candidate will work in our office in Alabang and will report directly to the Engineering Solutions Group (ESG) team. Essential Competencies : Knowledge PCB design process. Understand user requirements Working knowledge of Visual Studio. Have strong analytical, numeric, and general problem-solving skills. Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with US, Asia and Philippines based Altium users. Can work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions. Strong communication skills. Flexible to adapt to do support or development work. Be able to submit timely and accurate reports to stakeholders. Follow the Microchip Information Systems policies and procedures on development, project management, and change control. Be flexible to travel as required. Requirements/Qualifications: Candidate must have a BS Degree, Electrical Engineering or equivalent, be self-driven, and have 3+ years of experience in PCB design (schematic, CAD, assembly). Have skills in software development. Skills required: This candidate is required to understand Delphi Script or Pascal programming language. They must also be able to understand how to use Visual Studio Software development environment. An understanding of PCB design, fab, and assembly flow. Other skills preferred: Understanding of Software development technologies (HTTP, XML, JSON, etc.). Background in basic programming such as C# .NET, scripting (JavaScript, C++, VB etc.), basic OOP and relevant technologies.
