Job Description
Software Development and Platform integration/Upgrade support for the Manufacturing Execution System used by Front End Manufacturing at Microchip's USA facilities. The candidate will work closely with Philippines-based teammates and collaborating with counterparts in USA while reporting to a Philippines based Site IT Manager. The candidate will participate in and/or coordinate tasks involved in a software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, and Post-Implementation/Integration or Upgrade Support.
Essential Competencies:
Knowledge with either Frontend or Backend Manufacturing is an advantage.
Understand user requirements and complex manufacturing topics.
Working knowledge with process flow and data flow diagramming and other analysis tools is an advantage
Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Collaborate with US, Thailand and Philippines based software developers;
Ability to work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions.
Flexible to adapt to the dynamics of software support or development work.
Follow the Microchip Information Systems policies and procedures on development, project management, and change control.
Flexibility to travel as required.
Understanding of Agile Software Development methodology.
Job Requirements
Candidate must have a Computer Science BS Degree or equivalent, be self-driven, and have 2-3+ years of experience in .NET development and relational databases.
Skills required:
C#, ASP.NET, MVC, HTML, JavaScript, VBA, Object Oriented Programming and Design Methodologies, SQL, Stored Procedures, Relational Database Structure, and other Data modeling concepts, Windows Operating System, Visual Studio Team Foundation System.
Other skills preferred:
Service Oriented Architecture and Design, JSON, JQuery, Ajax, SignalR, CSS, Visual Studio 2010 or later versions (Visual Studio 2019 preferably.
