The Energy Engineer - Audit would report to the Energy manager, based in Philippines.
Location of the position: Ortigas Pasig, Philippines
1. Role description
Broad summary:
-Responsible for preparing audit and conducting energy audits at customers' site with respect of statutory and company health, safety and environment measures.
-Responsible for reviewing clients' facilities and energy or utilities plant status, analyzing energy usage, studying options for potential for energy efficiency improvement and to prepare energy audit report and presentations,
-Leading role in technical audits analysis activities and for maintaining knowledge of energy efficiency solutions.
Duties and responsibilities
-Prepare and participate to the initial clients' visit in site facilities, energy or utilities plants,
-Prepare the energy audits by collecting clients' energy or utilities plants (energy systems) and site information such as energy producing/consuming installed equipment, energy and electrical single line diagrams, historical data on primary energy bills, historical data on clients' energy systems maintenance & operations related practices and costs,
-Appreciate and understand energy audit instrumentation in terms of accuracy of various audit instruments, instruments calibration process, types of sensors and transducers, setting up and installation of instruments and data trending
-Prepare energy audit intervention plan by insuring availability of client interface, internal resources, instruments, by insuring compliance to clients' health-safety-environment requirements on site, and by scheduling logistics and others components needed to complete audit safely, accurately and in scheduled time.
-Carry out level 1 energy audit (Preliminary) including walk-through audit for major equipment at site, gather facilities wide energy use on monthly or annual basis, derive energy performance indicator, give information on energy usage broad conclusion and energy savings recommendations.
-Carry out level 2 energy audit (Standard) including short term metering and logging to measure energy related data at site, identify the source of energy to a facility, identify areas where energy savings can be achieved, recommends energy savings measures to be taken. Carry out detailed energy data analysis, provide professional interpretation of the analysis (energy usage and consumption, energy system design-operations-maintenance observations), convert analysis into charts, plots and synthetic tables for ease of communication and presentation, Support with providing information on energy audit report for submission to the client and relevant authorities involved in the project,
-Keep abreast of the latest development in energy efficient solutions (hardware or software) and maintain relationships with energy audit and machinery equipment suppliers, engineering companies.
-Support the contract implementation by controlling renovation installation of energy utilities plant in liaison with Project Management (PM) team.
Responsible for assisting within Energy Management (EM) section for instruments calibration and maintenance.
-Provide assistance on the Operation team on a case to case basis as the need arises
Working relationship
External: Customers, equipment manufacturers, engineering and contractors companies, suppliers, services providers and Authorities,
Internal : Company Business Development (BD) section, Project Management (PM) section, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) section, ENGIE Services APAC Regional Technical Office (RTO) or other ENGIE services regional offices.
In the course of assignment from time to time: carry out works in other countries where ENGIE Service APAC or its affiliates requires energy audit support.
2. Job requirements
-Licensed Mechanical, Electrical Engineer or Related courses
-Experience over 5 years in Industry, oil & gas, power generation, energy systems equipment manufacturers or energy service sector, as engineer or senior technician for operation, instrumentation, maintenance servicing
-Hands-on experience over 5 years in the field of Mechanical & Electrical equipment with Operation & Maintenance, service maintenance background (in industrial utilities, buildings services, contractors, suppliers) or in the field of energy audit, testing, commissioning or management services as engineer or senior technician.
-Knowledge about Air conditioning-ventilation, chilled water, hot water, steam, boilers, heat pumps, compressed air systems design and/or operations & maintenance,
-Ability to self-use software for computer energy modeling as well as presentation: excel spreadsheets, power point presentations, project Management software and computer aided design software (i.e Autocad..etc)
-Qualification on energy management or equivalent an advantage
-Knowledge of energy management techniques, tools and software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc)
-Communicative, active personality, result driven, analytical and team spirit person,
-Numerate, meticulous and analytical with strong reporting skills and conscientious with follow-up,
-Capable of initiatives in the technical field. Taste for service and customers relationship,
-Demonstrated skills in listening, time management and multi-tasking in a rapid changing work environment.
