ENDPOINT ENGINEER - POC LEAD

Job Summary
Collabtech is supporting a new laptop Proof-of-Concept program for one of the biggest processor manufacturers in the world, and we're looking for an engineer who can confidently lead technical discussions, guide customers through ARM (Advance RISC Machine) readiness, and help ensure a smooth transition from traditional x86 platforms on the desktop.
This role is part technologist, part guide, part detective - helping customers understand how their environment behaves on Snapdragon devices and working closely with Qualcomm engineering on escalations.

You will lead a 6-week/6-call POC cycle for each customer, advising customers on app compatibility, ARM-native binaries, management tools, security implications, deployment methods, and printing strategies unique to Snapdragon devices. If you enjoy problem-solving, presenting solutions clearly, and showing customers "yes, we can do that" energy... we want to meet you.
As needed, you will also support escalations from the Collaboration support team.

Core Responsibilities:

POC Leadership & Customer Engagement
Lead recurring weekly customer calls for Snapdragon laptop POCs (typically 6 calls per customer over 6 weeks).
Present technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Track customer questions, risks, blockers, and successes throughout the POC lifecycle.
Maintain a calm, confident, solution-oriented presence during customer sessions.
ARM & Compatibility Expertise
Help customers understand Windows on ARM architecture, including:
How Compatibility Mode (x86/x64 emulation) works.
Identifying and sourcing ARM-native application binaries.
Recognizing performance or stability issues tied to emulation.
Investigate app issues not behaving well under Compatibility Mode and escalate findings to Qualcomm engineering for review.
Security & Endpoint Management
Explain why many security tools require ARM-native builds due to kernel-level access.
Work with customers to validate AV/EPP, VPN, DLP, and other security tools on Snapdragon hardware.
Provide guidance on deployment strategies using:
Microsoft Intune
Windows Autopilot
Other MDM/endpoint management platforms
Assist with app packaging, deployment troubleshooting, and ARM/x86 app validation workflows.
Printing & Infrastructure Compatibility
Educate customers on updated printing requirements for ARM devices.
Help them transition from traditional Windows print queues to Microsoft Universal Print / Direct Print as needed.
Collaboration & Reporting
Document POC outcomes, technical findings, and known issues.
Provide structured reports and feedback directly to Qualcomm for engineering review.
Partner with Collabtech engineering and training teams to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across global regions.
Requirements:
3-5 years experience in an endpoint engineering, Intune/MEM administration, or modern desktop support role.
Strong understanding of Windows OS internals, application behavior, and enterprise device lifecycles.
Experience troubleshooting complex issues involving hardware, drivers, apps, and network dependencies.
Familiarity with Autopilot, Intune, or comparable MDM/endpoint management tools.
Ability to confidently lead customer calls, present technical topics, and document findings.
Strong problem-solving instincts and a positive, proactive "we can make this work" mindset.
Ability to work onsite in Cebu IT Park office (required).
Bonus points for:
Experience with Windows on ARM devices.
Application packaging experience (MSIX, Win32, Intune packages).
Security platform experience (AV, EDR, VPN, DLP).
Understanding of printing technologies, especially Microsoft Universal Print.
Benefits
Competitive salary based on experience
Excellent office facility
Strong training and professional development opportunities
Advancement potential into architect roles, field engineering, and event-based technical support
