You'll be part of a small, driven team building cutting-edge tools that directly impact how the industry operates.Job OverviewThe core role involves reviewing and validating submittals and helping improve new AI-generated electrical submittal reviews for commercial and industrial projects.The Electrical Submittal Engineer will identify technical inconsistencies and collaborate with internal teams to improve the performance and accuracy of automated review tools. Additionally, the role contributes to the development of internal QA processes and best practices for construction submittal evaluations.Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and validate electrical submittal data that gets uploaded to our system
Provide expert input on lighting, lighting controls, power systems, low/line voltage, and general electrical systems in commercial/industrial projects
Identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in technical documentation and flag them for correction
Collaborate with our internal teams to improve the accuracy and structure of our automated review tools
Help shape internal QA processes and best practices for construction submittal reviews
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction as a Project Engineer or Electrical Engineer
Deep familiarity with reviewing and interpreting construction submittals and technical documentation
Strong knowledge of electrical systems including lighting/lighting controls, power/distribution systems, line/low voltage products
Provides expert input on electrical, low voltage, fire alarm, and communication systems in commercial/industrial projects
Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized with a passion for improving processes
Comfortable working in a tech-forward environment with evolving tools
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Advantageous:
Experience working with AI or data-driven tools
Prior experience in construction technology or a startup environment
Experience with Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
