Job Role
Company is looking for an Electrical Estimator preferably with an Electrical Engineering background to work with the companys Estimating team on a national scale. The successful applicant would liaise with the sales, estimating, and project teams and report to senior management.
A key focus for the role is to provide our Estimating team with consistent Electrical Take-Offs whilst also offering Electrical Value Management initiatives.
Reading, understanding, and conducting accurate Take-Off of Electrical, Communications and Security drawings
Providing the take-off in excel format back to our Estimating teams in Australia
Conducting Tender to Construction drawing changes comparisons similarly, to performing a drawing take-off
Analysing blueprints to determine wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes.
Determining the amount, and type of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project.
Providing viable solutions to increase project profitabilit
Requirements
Completion of a post-secondary education electrician training program.
Bachelors degree in construction science, engineering, construction management, or a related field is advantageous. (preferred but not necessary)
Certification through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) or the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International is advantageous
The ability to interpret blueprints
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
