Produce points lists for Control Systems as BAS/EPMS Engineer. Write Sequence of Operation documents from review of MEP designs and through discussion and agreement with design engineers. Specification and drawing development detailing the control diagrams, sequence of operation for the mechanical controls systems, electrical monitoring systems, overall network topology and communication protocols. Produce specifications from templates, software specification writing tools and from fresh where necessary.
Produce plan drawings, schematics, network topology drawings and control function diagrams as required to suit project needs. Produces early stage reports for sign off by clients during development. Carry out condition surveys and reviews of existing installations. Produce reports and improvement. Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and Contractor teams. Specify and attend Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests and Integrated Systems. Specify and attend commissioning activities during construction and completion of projects.
Qualifications
Degree Qualified in appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent experience. MCIBSE/MIEE/ImechE/MIET. Professional Engineer, currently employed as a BMS/EPMS/Building Automation Consulting Engineer. In-depth knowledge of open BAS protocols and communications - BACnet, LON, MODBUS, Ethernet, Web-Services, html, and others. Strong experience with the operation and maintenance of building cooling and related mechanical systems (HVAC, Chilled Water, DX Refrigerant, Evaporative, and related controls systems).
In-depth knowledge of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring Systems (BCMS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Building Management Systems (BMS). Experience of building automation, SCADA, instrumentation and monitoring. Experience with Modbus, BACnet, IEC61850, OPC UA, and/or SNMP communication protocols.
5+ Years' experience at Senior Engineer level or above. 1+ Years Data Center or Mission Critical experience. Experience as lead BAS engineer, EPMS engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer or design manager
