ELECTRICAL DESIGNER ENGINEER
 
A. Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the design/development team to accomplish urgent engineering activities
Perform schematic design, circuit design, PCB layout and bill of material creation
Perform prototyping, design verifications, product validations and end of line testing, analysis and troubleshooting
Perform first article testing/validation and create documentations for production, test and quality reference
Qualify parts and suggest mechanical placements for optimum thermal performance
Ensure all the Dos and Don'ts related to design are addressed and implemented
Ensure all designs are in accordance to standard, good practice and per customer requirements
Collaborate to senior design engineers and colleagues for smooth flow of task
Support the technical needs of the production
Ensure on-time delivery of task
Keep record of his outputs in accordance to company policy
Reports to the division manager the progress of his tasks or may report to senior design engineer per project need
B. Job Specifications:
 
I. Educational Background:
Must be a graduate of Electronics Engineering or Electrical/Computer Engineering
II. Experience:
Must have at least 3 years of experience in electronic product design (it is a plus factor if has experience in power electronics design)
III. Knowledge, Skills and Attitude:
a. Must be knowledgeable in circuit design; both low power and high-power applications
b. Must be very fluent in electrical and electronic components functions and operations
c. Expert in prototyping, testing and troubleshooting
d. Adept in using engineering tools like DMM, LCR, oscilloscopes, etc.
e. Able to use computer aided simulation tools like Spice based simulator, Mathcad and so on
f. Must have adept knowledge in Altium for schematic and PCB layout
g. Must have high analytical and technical skills and able to interpret or read schematic diagrams
h. Hardworking, smart, open-minded, flexible, can work under pressure with less supervision and take project/task ownership and committed to deliver on time
