Job Description:
Job Summary: The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of electrical and control equipment by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous operation. The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is also responsible for conducting system improvement for better protection and convenience in operation.
Responsibilities:
Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance activities on all electrical and instrumentation equipments including Operational Technologies (OT) not limited to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) as directed by the E&I Supervisor in accordance with the Maintenance program.
Conducts condition-based monitoring programs as specified in Work Instructions and input them in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which may not be limited to Maximo.
Conducts routine inspection of auxiliary and other electrical equipment on a regular interval.
Ensures all measuring and test instruments are calibrated.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on LV and MV electrical systems.
Maintains emergency power source, e.g. battery pack, back-up generator, to provide emergency lighting system for the plant in cases of interruptions.
Ensures fire detection and alarm system are functional.
Ensures critical and rotable spare parts are identified and available at any given time.
Executes the proper implementation of PTW in accordance with the Safety policy.
Performs fire-fighting and other emergency responsibilities as defined in the Emergency Response Plan.
Supports and implements any Company-initiated programs.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned by superior from time to time.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Licensed Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation and Control Engineer
2-3 years experience in power plant or in allied industry
Knowledge and experience in electrical power control system
Experience in fault analysis and resolution
Ability to read electrical and control diagrams
Experience in handling low, medium and high voltage equipment
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Analysis and decision-making
Knowledge and experience in health, safety and environmental laws and regulations
