EditorCAN PROPERTY HOLDINGS LTD. CORP.

The Editor will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and rewriting content to be provided by the authors and/or writers. As an Editor, you will work with the Editor in Chief and the Publisher in completing the publication, following the agreed outline and format. You will ensure that the publication standards are met. The Editor is a clear and direct communicator who thrives on solving problems creatively as part of a lean team. The Editor will be reporting directly to the Editor in Chief.
Responsibilities:
Examine the structure, intended use, content, organization, design, and style of a document
Ensure consistency, clarity, and logic in the language style and structure
Ensure that each document expresses the author's meaning clearly, without gaps and contradictions
Ensure that the material is complete and that all the parts of the document are clearly identified
Organize the content to form a coherent and consistent book by eliminating repetitions, rearranging the paragraphs, and weaving the chapters and contributions together
Constantly looks out for legal problems such as copyright, plagiarism, and libel
Manages a team of writers and works closely with the Editor in Chief in driving relevant and informative content
Collaborate with authors, writers, researchers, fact-checkers, and proofreaders to ensure that deadlines are met and the guidelines for the quality of work are maintained
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven working experience as an Editor
Strong editorial judgment with the ability to absorb complex ideas and refine them into an accessible copy fit for a global audience
Strong research and correspondence skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and turnover stories within a short amount of time
Technological aptitude to manage documents, transcription tools, and collaborative online forums
Ability to coordinate with a distributed team
Preferably with background on social work, development or impact reporting
