The EDI Specialist is responsible for the management of sales order processing in our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) systems. This position works closely with Customer Service and Master Data to investigate escalated issues and is responsible to help drive efficient business systems processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary contact for customer service for EDI related systems issues
Coordinate initial EDI contact, set up and implementations with all potential EDI customers
Responsible for the data integrity of the EDI Interface
Maintains all EDI related tables in SAP and works closely with the Master Data team on ensuring customer and material master data that drives system functionality is maintained
Facilitate and monitor transport of EDI IDocs into SAP
Identify and investigate EDI processing errors and determine a resolution
Participate in system required testing and documentation
Document and maintain related procedures
Support GBS projects with an EDI Impact
Frequently communicate with Customer Service leadership on challenges, risks and successes with EDI order processing or any other business area
Ensure assigned project deliverables are on time, per requirements, and manage internal and external communication in a professional manner
Participate in business meetings with vendors to discuss current processes, potential enhancements and any issues that may develop as needed
Stay current with sales order entry process
Support Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance
Execute applicable Quality System processes and monitor the accuracy of the service provided

Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum 2 years ERP (SAP Preferred) Experience required
Minimum 2 Years EDI or other sales order automation solution required
