BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB
The EDI Developer role has to develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the organization's Internet-based strategies and initiatives for legacy Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. This individual is responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are maintained and properly executed, including development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects. The EDI Developer will work closely with business and IT teams within the organization as well as direct interaction with and support for Insight's partners.
WORK PERFORMED
Create Design Specifications, via Gap Analysis and coordination with trading partner and internal business resources.
Create Requirements Documentation as a result Design Spec process.
Create Test plans.
Develops maps for data transformation between EDI translation platform and existing ERP systems and other applications.
Act as the technical Supplier/Client interface for EDI projects.
Support EDI interfaces with ERP and external trading partners.
Maintains current and implements new EDI transaction sets.
Maintains EDI guidelines for all standard documents.
Proactively identify process improvement within the EDI process flows.
Manage all EDI testing, issue resolution and process flows for Change Requests.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 or more years in ANSI X12, XML and EDIFACT standards for the documents Sales orders, Purchase Orders, ASN, Invoice, Remittance. At least 2 years proven experience with communications technologies such as FTP, AS2, VAN, HTTP, SFTP.
Highly proficient in EDI and XML Standards. Experience with EDI/B2B Java based integration/translation tools such as Seeburger BIC MD/BIS 6.
Preferred working experience in SAP IDOCs & good understanding of SAP Procure to Pay and Order to Cash Process. Good understanding of e-commerce, B2B & EDI technologies.

Fluent in English (Written and spoken)
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, Global environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Requested to work during Arizona Business hours
Requested to work on weekends (occasionally) to support projects and maintenance weekends
Requested to participate in on-call rotations
